During testing weeks, our students are having fun building and exploring in STEM, as we slowly approach the end of this school year! Fifteen more school days away!
*Please Note: Parents must sign the permission slip for students to attend.
*No purchase is necessary! *Program is FREE! *Souvenirs and pictures are optional! Such fun in STEM this month! Students from our 4th Grade Drone Academy are showing off their drone skills. Some students have been coding and building this month. We have pictures from After School Robotics Club building Mars Rovers that search and collect specimens from Mars. We also have more students coding with Bee Bots. They are working with Money mats to learn their coin values. Lower grades are coding BEE BOT to spell words.
Solid Liquid GasWe began this year with Matter and its properties. Students in all STEM classes are learning that Matter comes in three forms: Solid, Liquid, and Gas. They're learning that solid matter keeps its shape, unless broken. Solid molecules are very close together, and touching. Liquids can be poured and take the shape of their container. Their molecules are not touching, they have space between them. Gases also take the shape of their container but have molecules that are spread further apart. Check out our solid, liquid, and gas molecule examples above, using our students!
